Sifra Kock is a visual artist and photographer based in the Netherlands. The starting point of her work is the human psyche.
By combining research and image experiments, she searches for a suitable form to visualise the invisible. She’s inspired by her personal life, the digital world, and her surroundings. The human behavioural patterns and moods, together with universal cultural phenomena are the common thread that can be traced in her work. This endless quest can be (in)distinctly seen in all her work.
“Photography is the main visual medium I use in my work. I question this medium endlessly, and because of this my work takes on different forms. My projects consist of collages, (film) installations, drawings, and tangible research documentation. My main fascination lies in the human bodily expression of the inner psyche and how this manifests in the outer being. This forms the core of my work.”
